Amy Jackson Smith real estate expertNeal Clayton Realtors is now doing business as Engel & Völkers Nashville following a deal that aligns the long-time locally based residential real estate company with a global heavy hitter.

Founded in 1977 and with about 800 offices in more than 30 countries on four continents, Germany-based Engel & Völkers is home to about 11,000 employees. It specializes in the brokerage of residential property (often high end), commercial real estate, yachts and aircraft.

Terms and details of the deal were not disclosed in a release. However, Engel & Völkers Nashville will operate from what had been the Neal Clayton Realtors office in Burton Hills in Green Hills until it finalizes a permanent home.

Neal Clayton Realtors was founded 38 years ago and has 25 associates. The company focuses on premium homes in Brentwood, Franklin and Nashville.

As part of the deal, Worth Properties affiliate broker Amy Jackson Smith has joined Engel & Völkers Nashville.

“Our city is made up of an eclectic mix of residents — from artists, musicians, chefs and microbrewers to tech entrepreneurs and CEO,” Neal Clayton (pictured) said in the release. “The common threads that run through Nashville are creativity, individuality and passion, and real estate is no different. We believe that each client deserves a personalized real estate experience delivered by a local expert, and Engel & Völkers gives our advisors the tools they need to provide the highest quality of custom client service, along with the exposure and reach that come with being part of a global network.”

Anthony Hitt, president and CEO of Engel & Völkers Americas, said Nashville is “ripe for buyers” thanks to its increasing housing inventory and tech startups.

Engel & Völkers was founded in Hamburg in 1977. It has about 175 locations and 3,000 advisors in the Americas.
